Coronado Island Film Festival - The Classic Film Series: The Shining

When Jack Torrance takes a job as winter caretaker at the isolated Overlook Hotel, he believes the solitude will provide the perfect opportunity to focus on his writing while his wife Wendy and son Danny enjoy a peaceful mountain retreat. However, the family soon discovers that the hotel harbors malevolent supernatural forces that feed on Jack's deteriorating mental state, transforming their winter sanctuary into a nightmarish prison where madness and murder become inevitable.
