The holiday season is here and there are no shortage of ways to celebrate in Coronado. From turkey trots to craft fairs, we’ve rounded up the best seasonal events for you and your family: 

 

Skating by the Sea
November 17th - January 7, 2023
Hotel del Coronado
Skating by the Sea returns to Coronado this holiday season and will be benefiting Make-A-Wish® San Diego. This unique beachfront experience allows guests to ice skate while enjoying stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. While there, be sure to check out the other festive offerings on the property, including the Frostbite Lounge, Beachside Igloos, a Lightshow Spectacular, and Holiday Movie Showings at the beach. Coronado 5K Turkey Trot
November 23rd
Tidelands Park
Move your feet before the feast at this year’s Coronado Turkey Trot! Join the Coronado Unit of the Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary for this fun and festive run along the beautiful San Diego Bay. All net proceeds benefit Rady Children’s Hospital “Greatest Needs - San Diego.” For more information click here.   

 

Coronado Holiday Parade, Open House and Tree Lighting
December 1st
Orange Avenue to Rotary Park 
Join the Coronado Chamber of Commerce for their annual Holiday Parade - a twinkling collection of community groups, floats, marching bands and snow-sprinkled cars cruise down Orange Avenue between 6-7pm. This special tradition culminates with carol singing and a Tree & Menorah Lighting Ceremony at Rotary Park at 7pm, and a local business open house. Artisan's Alley Craft Fair 
December 2nd, 9am to 3pm
Village Elementary School
Do your holiday shopping this year at the Coronado Artisans Alley Craft Fair, a wide selection of more than 160 vendors selling homemade crafts and unique holiday gifts.  All proceeds from the fair support the Coronado Band & Choir in the elementary, middle and high schools.  Throughout the day these talented, musical kids will perform at Village Elementary while fairgoers enjoy leisurely, outdoor craft shopping just in time for the holidays. Little Italy Tree Lighting and Village
December 2nd, 4pm to 8pm
Little Italy - India St & W Fir St
You're invited to this family-friendly holiday event filled with festive cheer! This year, Little Italy‘s tree lighting will include two Christmas trees, seasonal vendors, live music and entertainment, holiday treats, a traditional Italian tree lighting ceremony, and a special message from Santa. The Christmas Village, located on India Street between W. Cedar and W. Grape Streets, will feature one-of-a-kind stocking stuffers and other holiday goodies from seasonal vendors and select Little Italy Mercato vendors. You won’t want to miss this fun and festive event! Old Town Trolley's Holiday Lights and Sights Tour
December 1st to 23rd, and 26th to 30th
Old Town Market
Old Town Trolley's Holiday Lights & Sights Tour is a ride full of holiday cheer! Enjoy sing-a-long caroling with our Elf conductors as they share fun holiday facts and traditions, followed by a 15-minute stop at Seaport Village for holiday festivitie, and end with seeing the festive holiday lights of Old Town, Embarcadero, Seaport Village and Balboa Park. San Diego Bay Parade of Lights
December 10th and December 17th
Cesar Chavez Park to Coronado
The 52nd annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights will feature a procession of 80 lavishly decorated boats. This event has become one of the most iconic events in the region and is free to watch. The parade will proceed to the pier at Cesar Chavez Park before making the turn to Coronado, giving spectators another area to view the parade. For more information click here. 

 

Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade
December 27th at 5pm
Downtown San Diego
The scenic, bayside streets of downtown San Diego will come alive with the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade presented by Kaiser Permanente! As always, this exciting family event brings together world-class marching bands, magnificent floats, entertaining drill teams, and a procession of enormous balloons – more than any other parade! Over 100,000 street-side spectators will enjoy the parade along with a nationwide television audience. Street side viewing of the parade is free! For more information click here.
